NCTM Scholarships, Grants, or Awards

You are invited to apply for a Mathematics Education Trust grant, scholarship, or award. 

The Mathematics Education Trust (MET) was established in 1976 to channel the generosity of contributors through the creation and funding of grants, awards, honors, and other projects that support the improvement of mathematics teaching and learning.

Application Submission Deadline: May 1, 2027, and you must be an NCTM member to qualify.

  • The Alaska Council of Teachers of Mathematics offers an annual scholarship of up to $1000.00 to graduating seniors in the honor of Eric Lowery.

  • The Alaska Council of Teachers of Mathematics offers an annual scholarship of up to $3000.00 to early career teachers for to attend a professional development activity of their choosing.

  • Provides support for elementary teachers to attend a professional development activity of their choosing with a scholarship of up to $1500.00 annually

  • Travel grants offered to teachers for up to $2,000.00 (4 per year $500) by the Alaska Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

  • Provides support for secondary teachers to attend a professional development activity of their choosing. $500/Annually (max $2000)

  • To help classroom teachers with travel to attend a professional development activity of their choosing, $500/Annually (max $2000)

  • To be used for projects or professional development that would enhance the teachers teaching.

  • Provide support for teachers looking to improve their skills through professional development or courses.
